Ep. 5 Khalil Overton

Khalil Overton (@kho.music) is a multi talented singer/songwriter originally from Philadelphia, PA. Khalil got his start performing and touring in boys' choirs traveling to places ranging from Alaska to Australia. From there, his passion to pursue music full time led Khalil to Boston, MA where he studied at Berklee College of Music. During his time at Berklee, Khalil wrote a winning song for Berklee's perfect pitch competition and also had the opportunity to perform alongside George Clinton and the P Funk All Stars. After college, Khalil's talents led him to New York City for an extended residency at the piano bar Howl at the Moon. Khalil still continues to gig regularly and write his own music. In our conversation, we dig deep into these experiences and much more. Also, be sure to listen to the live music segment to hear Khalil perform a few of his original compositions.
